In a clean 16-oz glass jar, combine all dried herbs. Pour in organic castor oil + organic apricot oil until herbs are fully submerged (~¾ cup total oil). Seal and infuse in a sunny window for 2 weeks, shaking daily.

Alternative fast method: Heat oils + herbs in a double boiler at 100–110°F for 3 hours; do not exceed 120°F to preserve actives.

Strain through cheesecloth or fine mesh, pressing firmly to extract all oil. Compost herbs. Measure infused oil—you should have ~⅔ cup.

In a double boiler, gently melt kokum butter. Remove from heat. Stir in infused oil until uniform.

Let cool 5 minutes (still liquid). Stir in vitamin E (if using). Pour into a sterilized 4-oz glass jar or tin. Cool completely at room temp (~2 hours) until solid.
